Perrotto Family | Singer Island | Sunset Family Session

Singer Island, Florida Sunset Beach Family Session from Erica Brooke Photography, Palm Beach County Family Photographer

I have done a lot of family photo sessions on Singer Island and I truly have loved them all. (See them all here) However, this one was particularly incredible.

Lauren is a momma of 3, a son and two toddlers, and a lifestyle blogger over at Mimosas and Milk. She is so candid and hilarious in her truth about life and motherhood. I instantly appreciated her ability to talk about the beauty of parenthood, but also equally share the less than glamorous.

We planned to shoot using the beach at the Ritz Carlton Residences, a beach that holds a extra special meaning for this family. Lauren told me that her husband had proposed on this beach 10 years prior. This beach has been one their family has come back to frequently since and holds so many incredible memories for them.

I always ask my families this one very important question before their session: What do you most want to capture during your session? What do you most want to remember about your family during this season of life?

Lauren’s answer was so clear: “I just want to capture this moment in time for our family, where life is a little crazy but oh so beautiful.” It was in that moment that I knew that this family would be a perfect fit. You can see in these images they are just that. Moments of chaos, but what you really see is the deep love in this family.

My favorite image from the entire session is the one you see featured above. Why? It isn’t because of those sad, but adorable baby tears. Nope, it is instead because there is so much love radiating from it. Momma holding her baby so tight. Dad supporting, strong but silently in the back. Siblings surrounding. It is exactly what Lauren asked for–a moment in time, a little crazy, but oh so beautiful.

These are the unscripted moments I aim to achieve. The real moments. Unfiltered. Raw. Documentary.
